Hello! My name is Marla. I have always had an appreciation for products and spatial associations. As my education in interior design progressed, I learned about the impact the built environment has on the human psyche which propelled me to making research based design a cornerstone in my process. I have found it bridges the gap between the user and the built interior around them.

For design inspiration, I look to nature, historical art, architecture, and innovative makers of art. My research ultimately leads to a specific design concept. From there I am able to identify salient elements in order to produce a more refined concept.

Currently, I am working as a designer in New York City.
